Initially, the hostel accommodated 15 students and gradually increased to 40 over time. The hostel started its operations in a rented building and has since then grown to become a well-established and reputable hostel in the city.

The quality of service and safety provided by Swathi Residency was highly appreciated by the PSGR Krishnammal College, who recommended the hostel to their students once their own hostel was filled. Thanks to the support of college management and staff. This recommendation helped Swathi Residency gain more popularity and attracted more students and professionals to the hostel.

Over the years, Swathi Residency has expanded its services to include transport facilities for students, healthy and hygienic food, 24/7 security, high-speed internet connectivity, and a friendly and dedicated staff.

Swathi Residency has established it's Annex 1 in 2022, exclusively for NEET and Other Coaching Academy students. The hostel offers a study room facility which is a dedicated space for students to concentrate on their studies, away from any distractions. The study room is an excellent facility for the students who need a peaceful and conducive environment to study.

Who better than a former Superintendent and Physical Director to run a Ladies Hostel facility, with an experience of over two decades in handling and managing students and children?

Mrs. Savithri Damodran, a prolific entrepreneur and social enthusiast has proved over the years through Swathi Residency that a ladies hostel is not just a commercial accommodation but embodies a safe haven for girls and women who’ve travelled to a different city for education and work. She is not just the owner and warden of this splendid hostel, but a mentor and well-wisher to all the inmates she’s hosted over the years.

She has made sure to involve her entire family in the business and runs the place as a family unit efficiently. Today, this accommodation is mainly run by Mrs. Savithri and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Rajarajeshwari Sathish, both extremely strong, educated women who are well-versed in the needs and functioning of a commercial accommodation for young girls.

They’ve been managing Swathi Ladies Hostel together for the last 18 years and have done a great job in not just surviving, but enhancing and growing their business passionately to successful heights.
